How did you start making music?
"I started making music around, like, three years ago. I was just chilling, smoking, and n*ggas put on a beat and that same day we went to the studio and made a track."
Where does your name originally come from?
"My name was originally Tayy Kartier, but I changed it this year because I'm from the Floss, you feel me. I put it as my last name -- Tayy Floss."
Obviously a lot of talent is emerging from the NY Drill scene right now. What makes you different?
"Well, I don't really consider myself as a Drill artist [...] but this is what the community wants to hear right now. So the community can adjust to my name... who I am, and adapt to me. Then I can give them something new. I'm a hip-hop artist, like, I can do all things. I just consider myself an artist, you feel me -- versatile.
Who are some of your favorite artists you have collaborated with?
"I mean I've collaborated with a couple artists before this year. I collaborated with Pop Smoke, on the come-up. I got a couple collaborations with Danny Hundreds -- I fuck with him. I got one with my son Splash and Quelly Woo... Oh yeah and I got one with Costamado and T Dott."
Is there anyone specific that you want to work with in the future?
I mean, yeah. I want to work with upcoming, big artists right now. Rah Swish, Sheff G, Sleepy, you feel me. Lil Tjay... shit like that.

"My three favorite words? Woo. Floss... and Smoke"
What can we expect from you in the upcoming months?
"We're gonna be doing a lot of shows, you feel me... Visuals. We're gonna be just goin' up, basically. Getting a lot of exposure, new support, you feel me. That's really it."
